How to Earn Certification in ITIL
To gain a competitive edge on your career in the IT industry, consider obtaining certification in ITIL. The Information Technology Infrastructure Library is recognized worldwide as a collection of best practices for managing IT services. The first step in an ITIL career path is to pass the ITIL Foundations exam. From there, you can pursue Intermediate, Expert and Advanced ITIL certification paths.

#

Select a training path. There are two basic paths to preparing for the ITIL Foundations test: self-study or training program enrollment. Self-study is popular during tough economic times. If your employer doesn't offer reimbursement options, then study on your own using training materials readily available on eBay as well as from the IT Service Management Forum or the British Office of Government Commerce. See Resources links to visit these sites.

Training programs, though costly, offer both classroom and online options based on your learning style. Pink Elephant is a worldwide training organization specializing in ITIL training.
